Republic of Ireland international David Connolly scored twice but Wimbledon squandered a two-goal lead and were held to a 3-3 draw by Bradford in the English League first division last night.

Connolly converted a chance made by Kevin Cooper after 15 minutes before Cooper himself unleashed a 35-yard bullet to beat Gary Walsh.

Andy Todd pulled one back when he turned in a Gunnar Halle cross five minutes before the interval, but there were still two minutes to the break when Connolly struck home a free kick from the edge of the penalty area, his ninth of the season.

But Eoin Jess followed his hat-trick on Saturday with a vital strike after 77 minutes and the lanky Tod headed in a Gary Locke cross to make it 3-3 10 minutes from the end.

Phil Mulryne's first goals for a year saw Norwich move into fifth place in the table with a 2-0 win over Grimsby at Blundell Park.
