Tim Clark will take a two shot lead into the final round of the St Jude Championship in Tennessee. Clark fired a six-under-par 64 yesterday to move clear of five golfers on five-under.
The South African tore up the back nine, with an eagle and three birdies in his final five holes. Overall, he had four birdies in a bogey-free round.
Trevor Immelman, Americans Marc Turnesa and Bill Haas, German Alex Cejka and Gavin Coles all trail Clark by just two strokes. Turnesa and Coles were among six golfers who began the day tied for the lead at three-under.
Master champion Immelman and Haas each carded three-under 67s. Justin Leonard, Vijay Singh, Dean Wilson and Canadian Stephen Ames trail Clark by three shots.
Of the quartet, Leonard enjoyed the best round — a three-under 67.
