Championships get go-ahead

The national swimming championships will go ahead, as planned at the Grove Baths in Belfast next week.

The national swimming championships will go ahead, as planned at the Grove Baths in Belfast next week.

The IASA executive met Ulster Branch officers yesterday to discuss the practicality of the Belfast venue in the light of the current unrest in the North.

It was suggested that the Guinness pool in Dublin host the championships which run from Tuesday next to Saturday week. But both parties are satisfied with the Belfast venue.
