MUSTER JUNIOR CUP: Castletroy Community College started their first Munster Junior Cup quest with a 32-10 win over Waterpark at Annacotty yesterday as Paul Wallace, Niall Moloney, Ronan O'Mahony, Dave Martin, Gary O'Toole and Tom Foley crossed for tries.

Meanwhile, Connacht Senior Schools' Cup holders Coláiste Iognaid, Galway advanced to the quarter-finals when they defeated Presentation College, Headford 15-13 at Headford. The victors led 15-6 at the interval after a brace of tries from Dominic Gilmore.

Garbally College, Ballinasloe defeated Rice College, Westport 51-0 at Garbally as Conor Lavelle finished with four tries.

St Joseph's, Galway overcame St Mary's, Ballygar 27-3 at Corinthian Park with tries from Oisín Cluskey, Thomas Chambers, Cathal Power, Stephen Molloy and Conor Treacy. St Saran's,Ferbane defeated Summerhill College, Sligo 57-3 with Aidan Wynne and Aidan Keenaghan each scoring two tries.
