Paul Carberry returned to action at Roscommon yesterday after a five month lay-off following surgery on his spleen in April. The Meath jockey partnered Ithastobedone in the Tulsk Handicap Hurdle but was unable to make any impression in the final half mile as Samapour ran out an impressive winner.
Mick Kinane and Jamie Spencer look set to win the Flat championship and apprentice title respectively this year.
Kinane, now on the 73 winner mark for the season, won on Tragic Lover in the Tully Maiden. Spencer had to work harder to take the Glenamaddy Fillies EBF Maiden on Dance Of Love.
