CAPE Town's Olympic bidders were in bouyant mood yesterday over, what they called, a highly important endorsement by the Supreme Council of Sport in Africa.

The all Africa council, which carries 23 of the 106 world votes that will decide the host city of the 2004 summer games, registered its support of Cape, Town at a meeting in Algiers last month, Cape Town Olympic Bid Committee spokesman Paul Johnson said.
