Mayo -1-15 Monaghan -1-5Frank Browne took the scoring honours as Mayo cruised to a runaway 10 point win in this Allianz National Hurling League Division Four final replay at Markievicz Park on Saturday.

The Ballyhaunis clubman bagged eight of the winners' points - seven from placed balls - as the Connachtmen out-played a Monaghan side that failed to reproduce their form of the drawn game.

Mayo were four points ahead before Paul Ward, who scored 1-4 of the Monaghan total, raised his side's first flag in the 16th minute. Mayo led 0-8 to 0-3 at half-time.

Four Mayo points without reply between the 45th and 55th minute put the game beyond the Farneymen's reach. Paul Ward's 64th minute goal put a more respectable appearance on the Monaghan scoreline, but a Pierse Higgins goal two minutes later underlined Mayo's superiority.
