THOUSANDS of schoolboys were put out of their misery last night when details of both the Coca Cola Leinster Schools Senior and Junior Cup draws were announced at Lansdowne.

With regard to the bottom half of the draw in Section B St Michael's coach Frank Macken was content with a first round bye but wary of his second round tie with St Mary's College. "They (St Mary's) are renowned cup battlers and although we have a nice back line, our forwards are not the biggest. I see Belvedere as the outright favourites."

Also granted a first round bye in the top half of the draw were 62 time winners Blackrock. They face Kings Hospital in their first test.
