Good Counsel 1-8 St Patrick's CS 1-7: Although held scoreless for 13 minutes after the break, Good Counsel won the day with Ger Aylward's 56th minute goal proving decisive in Saturday's Leinster Colleges senior football A quarter-final in Athy.

The two teams had gone in at the break level at four points each before a Jake Regan goal helped open up a five-point lead for Colm O'Rourke's team with just under quarter of an hour to go.

Good Counsel rediscovered their form and following points from Pádraig Whelan, Michael Maloney and Killian Kehoe, Aylward then fisted home.
