John Oxx has two of the 12 remaining entries for Saturday's St Leger but said yesterday that Edabiya has been left in solely as a precaution in case Enzeli is injured.

Edabiya was a slightly unlucky fifth in Sunday's Prix Vermeille at Longchamp and Oxx said: "Enzeli is our Leger runner and Edabiya is very unlikely. Unless something happens to Enzeli and the filly is jumping and kicking with wellbeing will she run."

Plans for Edabiya's next race are fluid because of the difficulty of placing her with a Group One penalty, although Oxx added that she could stay in training next year.

In the meantime the Currabeg trainer could have an exceptionally good day at Fairyhouse this afternoon as the three flat races on the card look within his grasp.

If the treble comes up it will bring Oxx's total of track winners since the start of 1988 to 39, level with the current Fairyhouse flat leader Dermot Weld.

The Fairyhouse course could prove very beneficial to Adari in the Mullinam Handicap which is confined to three-year-olds. Last time out in a hot all-aged handicap at Galway, Adari seemed to find the downhill run an ordeal and lost his pitch but ran on noticeably well up the hill. That should not be a problem for the Tralee scorer this time.

Oxx's Sinndiya ran a fine race on her debut, beaten a neck by stable companion Remuria at the Curragh. Although another stable companion, Valleria, was beaten at Roscomon on Monday, Sinndiya looked a future winner and should be up to beating Grand Ambition who is preferred for the runner-up spot ahead of Angelica Tree.

Oxx runs Royal Partnership in the six-furlong maiden and the drop in trip should suit the colt whose family, despite the presence of the Leger winner Mutafaweq, is laden with speed.
