As well as top sporting personalities, many sports people with careers in politics are interviewed. The resulting gems, adages, quotable quotes and amusing insights make for interesting, informative reading. Controversial moments, cruel pieces of luck, clever nicknames are all described from first-hand experience. The events recalled in this book brought great joy and disappointment to many people. Reading it brought back pleasant, half-forgotten, wonderful sporting moments.
