Sir, The letter from Mark Fleming (January 19th) suggesting a better name for "British Isles" makes good sense, but his proposed naming, of "Euro Isles", does not. That could equally refer to islands of the Mediterranean.
If a new name is wanted does not "Anglo Celt Isles" describe this island group and its inhabitants succinctly? They include other Celts than the Welsh and Cornish, or "Brythons", from which is derived the word "British". Yours, etc., Inchicore, Dublin 8.
