Sir, – Now that Leona Maguire has been the first Irish lady golfer to be selected for the Solheim Cup and Stephanie Meadow came a fantastic seventh in the women’s Olympic golf, perhaps The Irish Times will begin to show the LPGA World Golf rankings for women on a Tuesday rather than show the exclusive men’s rankings.
More attention to the success of Leona and Stephanie could inspire the next generation of young women golfers.
