Sir, - Perhaps An Post could enlighten me on a few matters. Why do my letters invariably take three days to reach the other side of Dublin when they can take the same time to reach England? Why do letters from England take seven days to arrive in Dublin?

Apparently, the latter problem arises in regional distribution centres of the Royal Mail. How then, does the Royal Mail consistently deliver a first-class letter (notably 6p cheaper) from Scotland to Sussex in under 24 hours? Is this a new logic which I am missing? - Yours, etc.,
