Sir, – The deputy from Louth is of the opinion that An Taoiseach’s responses in Dáil Éireann are no clearer in English or Irish (Gerry Adams, October 13th). Mr Adams has spent a lifetime skilfully evading important and difficult questions which many families on this island would dearly love to have answered in English, as Gaeilge or indeed any language of the deputy’s choosing, so long as it is clear and truthful.
