Sir, - I think that if Muredach Doherty (November 21st) goes back to the sentence he refers to in Black List, Section H, he will find that the anti semitic sentiments expressed are being attributed by Francis Stuart (in the guise of H) to his wife, Iseult, in the context of his own friendship at the time with a Jewish man named Mr Isaacs in Vienna.

While on the subject of Francis Stuart, I would like to thank Eileen Battersby for her brilliant interview with him in your issue of November 14th. Two other aspects of his writing, which were not referred to in that interview and may be worth mentioning, were his celebration of the joy of sex and his enthusiasm for horse racing. - Yours, etc.,
