Sir,– I totally agree with Will Breen (Letters, April 4th) regarding the proposed changes to the Leaving Certificate. Reducing the number of subjects would relieve students of stress and anxiety at this most crucial time and allow them time to decide which subjects they should concentrate on. There are large numbers of students who drop out of their first year in university due to stress and too much pressure because they chose courses that had no great relevance to them! – Yours, etc,
