Madam, – Regarding transport services to Ireland West Airport Knock (DP Saville, January 23rd), from January 31st, Bus Éireann will be providing an enhanced service to the airport on a trial basis that will see its Route 64 Galway-Sligo-Derry service re-routed to provide seven coach services a day to the airport from Sligo and Galway.
This service will also interconnect with our nationwide express coach network and to all towns along the western seaboard. This enhanced service follows the success of our direct airport services to many other airports in the State. Contrary to DP Saville’s assertion, Bus Éireann has been supporting the development of Ireland West Airport Knock for a number of years by providing a connection from the airport to our integrated network of nationwide services through a shuttle bus service from Charlestown to the airport. – Yours, etc,
