Sir, – Following recent changes to certain Bus Éireann routes in the capital arising from the extension of the Luas Green line from St Stephen’s Green to Broombridge, it would be helpful to actually see the Bus Éireann logo and information at the new designated bus stops.
At the end of July, a memo was issued by Bus Éireann regarding changes to the Bus Éireann Route 133 to Wicklow Town, and on this memo three new city centre stops were listed at Westland Row, Merrion Square, and St Stephen’s Green East, replacing the old stops at George’s Quay and Kildare Street, respectively.
It is now October, and despite several requests from confused passengers the new stopping points do not have any information regarding the service in question or indeed any Bus Éireann identification marks.
The information may be readily available on the Bus Éireann website, but it does cause confusion as one looks aimlessly for an official Bus Éireann stop that shares a site with either Dublin Bus or a City Tour bus. To further add to the confusion, the old stops still remain in situ and information boards and timetables still remain giving details of the old service, even though the stops are now longer in use.

I am aware that Transport for Ireland is planning to introduce new stops which will include both public and private operators’ information, but in the meantime it remains very confusing for those wishing to travel. – Yours, etc,
