Sir, – How many times must the Tánaiste announce, re-announce and drip-feed us with non-information about his grand plan for our savings.

Does he not realise that “the sophisticated Irish electorate” (anyone remember that one?) can see through this and await the full details?

After all, the devil will be in the detail.

Please say no more until budget day. – Yours, etc
