Madam, - No right-thinking person could do anything but accept the Taoiseach's apology for recommending suicide to certain negatively-minded members of our society. I'm sure the same well-balanced observer would also completely accept his version of how certain monies appeared in his account some years ago, whether by way of hat-passing in Manchester or whip-arounds among friends nearer home. I hope the Mahon tribunal investigation of this matter shortly will not lead to any cribbing or moaning later on.
