Sir, – As a 70-year-old just recovering from a second bout of shingles in under a year, I cannot emphasise enough what a debilitating condition this is for many people.
Recovery time can be three to six months, or even longer. I suffered severe pain, loss of appetite, inability to sleep, extreme skin sensitivity, debilitating fatigue and high blood pressure. I have residual pain and discomfort to this day.
