Sir, – Providing driving lessons in schools (Letters, February 2nd) makes sense. In 1965, the Dominican College Muckross Park in Donnybrook, Dublin, introduced driving lessons for fifth and sixth year classes. I passed my driving test first time, three weeks after sitting my Leaving Cert and never looked back – except in the rear-view mirror. – Yours, etc,

Gay Rodgers,

Kilmacud,

Dublin.
