Sir, – Waiting at Custom House Quay yesterday morning, I was hopeful that the new traffic flow arrangements at Bachelors Walk would alleviate the delays buses suffer progressing on to Eden Quay. I noted that all three buses (G1, G2 and 151) were due in two to three minutes. Many minutes passed without the arrival of a bus, so I rechecked the app. Each of the by-now overdue buses had revised upward its arrival time by another four or more minutes. Ultimately, it was 14 minutes after its original due time that the first of the three buses materialised.
Disappointingly, it appears the new arrangements are not expediting journeys, condemning commuters to continued, chronically slow travel times that will only further deteriorate as the seasons change. – Yours, etc,
