Sir, – I read your article “Irish pension charges ‘good value’ at 0.80%, says lobby group Insurance Ireland” (Business, June 16th).
Data from Morningstar shows that average expense ratio of US mutual funds and exchange-traded funds (ETFs) are 0.40 per cent and the average fee for index funds is 0.1 per cent.
So for Insurance Ireland to say that it offers “good value” is simply wrong. – Yours, etc,
