Sir, – While we were all looking out the window to see if the wind was blowing strongly enough to use the dishwasher, hairdryer or our new overpriced electric cars, over our other shoulder was the stark reality of the shadows dancing on the cave wall to the tune of €650 million in excess profits, treble ESB’s previous annual and average returns.
Adding fuel to the fire are the billions in excess hydrocarbon company profits, as we are told to turn the heating down one degree as well as reduce our use or speed of our vehicles to save the planet.
I say roll on the revolution and the arrival of some true political and social prophets.
