An editorial in Tuesday's editions said that in the election for president of Mexico, the outgoing President, Mr Ernesto Zedillo, was defeated by Mr Vicente Fox, the incoming president. In fact, the defeated candidate from Mr Zedillo's party, the Institutional Revolutionary Party, was Mr Francisco Labastida.

In an article on the haemophilia tribunal yesterday, it was reported that Dr Jack O'Riordan, former national director of the BTSB, retired from the board in December 1985 "and died two years later, shortly after the publication of the Finlay report". In fact, Dr O'Riordan died in 1998, and the Finlay report was published in March 1997.
