TABLES are already selling out for the third Guinness Ardmore Film Ball on Friday, December 6th, at Ardmore in Bray. The tables are £1,000 each and takers include In Dublin publisher Mike Hogan, solicitor to the stars James Hicke, RTE's David Blake Knox, and Hamish McAlpine from the McAlpine building dynasty who is currently living in Dublin. Morgan O'Sullivan has taken a table and will doubtless be looking around Ardmore on the day for likely lively guests, John Schlesinger will be on set filming Sweeney Todd. The awards at the dinner usually go to backroom people, but this year Guinness is inaugurating a new award for a young outstanding actor prepare for some junior luvviedom.
