Everton's £5million defender Joseph Yobo has officially joined the Goodison Park club after being granted a work permit by Britisdh authorities.
The 21-year-old Nigeria international has been cleared to play in the Premiership until 2007 after signing for Everton last week from Marseille.
Everton spokesman Ian Ross told the club's official website, www.evertonfc.tv: "We were delighted to learn that Joseph Yobo has been granted a work permit to play for Everton until 2007.
"He will return to England later this week to meet up with the Everton squad upon their return from Austria."
