MOSCOW - Just a matter months ago, President Yeltsin appeared to be a "hopeless cardine case", according to Professor Renat Akchurin who performed quintuple bypass surgery on the Russian president. Now Mr Yeltsin was recovering satisfactorily, the surgeon told Russian TV, and Mr Yeltsin would be moved to a sanatorium in the next 10 to 15 days, Seamus Martin reports.
