The Dun Laoghaire lifeboat and 24 sailing craft participated in a funeral service in Dublin Bay yesterday, when the ashes of a yachtsman and former Irish international swimmer, Mr Norman Binns (83), were scattered on the Irish Sea. Mr Binns, originally from Co Galway, was selected for the Irish Olympic swimming panel in the 1930s, and served in the RAF during the second World War.
