Woody Allen stays behind the cameras for his new movie, Celeb- rity, a caustic reflection on fame, publicity, pretentiousness and ego set in the worlds of movies, theatre, publishing and fashion. However, Woody has cast Kenneth Branagh, no less, as his surrogate character in the comedy - a recently divorced journalist who pursues a succession of beautiful women and tries to ingratiate himself with the famous people he meets.

Among them is a vain, spoiled young superstar played by Leonardo DiCaprio. The movie's eclectic cast also includes Judy Davis as Branagh's embittered ex-wife, along with Melanie Griffith, Hank Azaria, Winona Ryder, Chralize Theron and Joe Mantegna.
