LONDON - Mr Chris Vincent, who is the main prosecution witness in the pending trial of three soccer stars who match-fixing allegations, was yesterday remanded in custody for seven days accused of an offence of attempting to pervert the course of justice.

Mr Vincent (38), of Gadbridge Farm, Forest Green Road, Hollyport, Berkshire, appeared before a stipendiary magistrate at Aldershot Hampshire. Mr Vincent is to give evidence in the trial of former Liverpool and Southampton goalkeeper, Bruce Grobbelaar (38), and the former Wimbledon players, John Fashanu (32), and Dutch-born goalkeeper, Hans Segers
