“I would like to thank our staff for their commitment in making Powerscourt Springs one of Ireland’s most successful health farms. I would also like to thank our very loyal clients who supported us over the last 12 years.”

Powerscourt Springs Health Farm was established in 1996 and expanded in 2001. It was the first health spa of its kind in Ireland and became particularly well-known, being close to Dublin and with strong brand recognition.

When it was put on the market last year it had a guide price of €12 million. Paul Collins of CB Richard Ellis, who sold the facility, said at the time the business was thriving and that there was obvious potential to further extend and develop it.

Ms Flood said the health farm would continue to operate normally until October 21st.

Anyone who had paid deposits for bookings after this could bring forward their reservation or stay instead at the Brooklodge hotel and spa at Macreddin Village.

Clients with gift vouchers should visit before October 21st, or use their voucher after this date at Brooklodge.
