Rail: Extra Dart services will run for Dublin's Christmas shoppers tomorrow between 10 a.m. and midday and between 4 p.m. and 6 p.m. On Sunday, they will run from midday to 2 p.m. and from 4.30 p.m. to 6 p.m. (double frequency).

The 10.15 p.m. service on Sunday from Heuston Station, Dublin, to Cork will involve a bus transfer between Kildare and Portarlington due to engineering works.

Dublin: Roadworks on the Ballymun Road north of the M50 will result in single-lane traffic. This route could be used as a short-cut from the M50 to the airport but it should be avoided as long delays are expected over the next five weeks.

A new traffic layout is in place on the Naas dual-carriageway outbound between Aermotive and the Poitin Still. Traffic is reduced to a single lane and long delays are inevitable.

A one-way system is in place on Church Road, Killiney, for southbound traffic due to roadworks. Northbound traffic is being diverted via Churchview Road. There is also single-lane traffic at the Rochestown Avenue roundabout.

A new third lane has opened on the Naas Road outbound between Newlands Cross and Saggart.

On the main road into the Phoenix Park, a new roundabout is being built at the turn-off for the zoo, causing long delays.

To facilitate the construction of the Saggart/Rathcoole interchange, a section of Main Street, Rathcoole, east of Beechwood Lawns to the Naas Road, is closed for about one year.

A one-way system remains in place on Leopardstown Road. Traffic flow is westbound only from White's Cross to the Brewery Road roundabout. Eastbound traffic should divert via Brewery Road and the N11.

Works continues on the Malahide bus corridor at Griffith Avenue junction. The left turn slip road from Malahide Road into Griffith Avenue will be closed and this left turn can be taken at the traffic lights at Griffith Avenue/ Copeland Avenue junction.

Cork: Roadworks will be in place for three months on the N8 between Cahir and Mitchelstown. Temporary lights will operate.

Limerick: Sexton Street North has a diversion for eastbound traffic coming from Shannon, Galway, Parteen and Shelbourne Road towards the city centre, Dublin or Tipperary.

Westmeath/Roscommon: Temporary lights will be in place on the Athlone/Ballymahon Road out of Mullingar. Pipe-laying works will be taking place on the N52 between Mullingar and Tyrellspass, with diversions at Rochfortbridge until January.

There are also roadworks on the Athlone bypass on the Dublinbound carriageway.

Donegal: Work is taking place for the next 18 months on the Donegal bypass and over the next month there will be heavy machinery crossing the N1 north of Donegal. Temporary lights will be in use.

Clare: The Limerick/Tulla Road is closed between Sixmilebridge and Cratloe Cross for drainage work. These works have been extended until tomorrow. Diversions are via Hurlers Cross and Bunratty.
