This site is interesting both because of the work it details and the interactive manner in which people can contribute to this work. Set up by the British Woodlands Trust and the Centre for Ecology and Hydrology (the British Environmental and Research Council), it aims to monitor and evaluate nature's changes. Phenology is the study of the times of recurring natural phenomena - especially in relation to climate change.
The Woodlands Trust believes that rising temperatures threaten many native species in Britain. There are more than 2,000 recorders registered online.
According to the website, this phenology website is the first of its kind in the world.
