Denis O'Driscoll was born in Thurles, Co Tipperary, in 1954 and works for Irish Customs in Dublin. His previous collections include Quality Time (1997), Long Story Short (1993), Hidden Extras (1987) and Kist (1982). As a critic he is a regular contributor to the Harvard Review, Poetry Revew, and TLS. A selection of his literary criticism is due to be published by Gallery Press later this year.
