Kildare County Council has said that supplies have been restored to number of towns and villages without water since 7am due to a technical fault at the Old Kilcullen reservoir.
The fault has now been fixed. The affected areas included Newbridge, Kildare, Kilcullen, Calverstown, Martinstown, Brownstown, Maddenstown, Suncroft, Kildangan, Milltown and surrounding areas.
