London - The British government yesterday pledged to invest £300 million in its new welfare-to-work training scheme for young people in Scotland as it launched a three-month pilot project in Dundee.

The compulsory scheme is intended to help 18- to 24-yearolds who claim Jobseeker's Allowance and have been unemployed for more than six months.
