Two armed Palestinians were killed today in a pre-dawn attack on an Israeli army post near a Jewish settlement in the Gaza strip, military sources said.
The Palestinian fighters opened fire on the army post near the Kfar Darom Jewish settlement, lightly injuring an Israeli soldier.
The soldiers reportedly returned fire, killing one of the Palestinians and shooting the second after a brief pursuit.
The Israeli military source said the second Palestinian had "refused to surrender".
