Two injured in apartment blast

London - Two British men remained in a "very grave condition" in a Spanish hospital yesterday following an explosion in a holiday apartment. Mr Melbourne David Thomas (51), and Mr Eric Stevens (41), both from the Manchester area, were in a "very grave condition", a spokesman said. It is thought the blast, in an apartment on the southern end of Tenerife, may have been caused by a gas bottle.
