Two men have been arrested in Derry in over the shooting of a PSNI officer in the city last month.

Two men have been arrested in Derry in over the shooting of a PSNI officer in the city last month.

The Catholic probationary officer (43) was shot minutes after he had left his 15-year-old son at Lumen Christi College in Bishop Street on November 8th.

The officer sustained shotgun pellet injuries to his arm, shoulder and face but was able to drive to the city's police headquarters at Strand Road. He was then brought to Altnagelvin hospital.

The PSNI have made a number of searches in the city.
