A suicide attack killed at least two people in southern Afghanistan today, police said.
The attack happened soon after a convoy of President Hamid Karzai's security guards passed through Qalat, the provincial capital of southern Zabul province, on their way back from a presidential visit to the south.
Residents believe the target of the attack were Mr Karzai's guards who were driving towards the capital, Kabul.
