Two charged over Limerick gun attacks

Two men have been charged with firearms offences at a court in Limerick after a gun attack in the city on Thursday.

Gary Kirby (23) of Hyde Road and Christopher McCarthy (19) from Moyross were charged with possession of a firearm with intent to endanger life.

At least six shots were allegedly fired at three houses on Clarina Avenue, Ballinacurra Weston shortly after 8 p.m. on Thursday.

No-one was injured in the attack, although the houses are believed to have been occupied at the time of the alleged shooting.

The men will appear in court again on February 15th.
