Two men are being questioned today over a post office robbery in south Dublin.

Two men are being questioned today over a post office robbery in south Dublin.

They were arrested after the raid at the Firhouse shopping centre at about 5pm yesterday.

Two men threatened staff and customers before escaping in a car with an undisclosed quantity of cash.

A short time later, gardaí stopped a car in Tallaght and arrested two men, one in his late 20s and the other in his 30s. A knife and sum of money were also recovered.

The pair are being detained in Tallaght Garda station under Section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act.
