ZAGREB - The Croatian government yesterday set June 15th as the date for presidential elections in which President Franjo Tudjman has said he will run as candidate for the ruling Croatian Democratic Union (HDZ).
Although reported to be seriously ill, Mr Tudjman (74), still enjoys huge popularity in the country and is widely expected to win another five year term.
