Trial on firearms charges delayed

Six men arrested last October will go on trial accused of firearms and other offences at the Special Criminal Court next March…

Six men arrested last October will go on trial accused of firearms and other offences at the Special Criminal Court next March. They are charged with unlawful possession of an assault rifle, a pistol, a sub-machinegun and ammunition at Herbertstown, Stamullen, Co Meath, on October 20th last. They are also charged with participating in training in the use of firearms.

The six were remanded in continuing custody until March 6th next. They are two brothers from Dublin, Mr Anthony Ryan (24) and Mr Alan Ryan (19), both of Grange Abbey Drive, Donaghmede; Mr Martin Conlon (30), Railway Street, Armagh; Mr Seamus McGrane (46), Little Road, Drumiskin, Co Louth; Mr Seamus McGreevey (46), Stamullen, Co Meath; and Mr Damien Lawless (31), Nicholas Avenue, Dundalk.
