Two travellers who stole over £3,000 from the home of two elderly Co Sligo women were, sentenced to a total of 14 years in jail at Sligo Circuit Court. Peter Connors and Josephine Connors, with an address at the Bawnogue campsite, Cloadalkin, Co Dublin, jailed for eight years and six years respectively. The court was told the pair used forced during the robbery at Cliffoney, in September 1995. Most of the money was later recovered.
