Passengers are advised to contact their airlines or airline websites following a number of flight cancellations this morning.
Aer Lingus has cancelled over 60 services from Irish airports today and warned that this number could rise. The company said the flight arrivals/departures section of its website will be updated as soon as new information becomes available.
Ryanair said all flights to and from Dublin and Knock airports between 11am today and 12am tomorrow have been cancelled. Passengers scheduled to travel outside of these closure times should monitor the Ryanair website for more information.
The company said flights at Cork, Kerry and Shannon airports are operating to schedule however, they warned that airspace over Shannon may suffer possible closures later today. All flights to and from Belfast, Derry and Glasgow Prestwick airports have also been cancelled.
Meanwhile, a practical complaint guide has been made available to consumers affected by the recent flight disruptions. The package, provided by the European Commission, contains a standard complaint letter, a list of addresses where complaint letters can be sent and advice on the use of out-of-court dispute resolution.
