London - Scientists yesterday issued urgent warnings about the dangers of organ transplants from animals to humans. Experts writing in the science journal, Nature, called for a moratorium on all clinical research until after a full public debate on the ethical issues.
In the same journal, a British virologist, Prof Robin Weiss, from the Institute of Cancer Research, warned that pig viruses might adapt themselves to human hosts.
